Identify what membership buys
A membership could mean gym entry, coached sessions, a program, group access or a combination. Ask for a written list of each inclusion and whether a named trainer is guaranteed. A facility pass is not the same as individualized coaching. Check whether an assessment, plan revision or between-session support costs extra, then compare the full month rather than a headline rate.
Understand time limits
Find the billing date, minimum term, automatic renewal, package expiry, pause options and process for cancellation. Ask what happens if you travel, become ill, the coach leaves or the venue closes. A low rate per session may be poor value if your actual schedule cannot use the sessions before they expire. Keep the agreement and receipts where you can find them.
Account for the venue
A trainer may work in a private studio, a larger gym or a condominium room. Verify which entry rights are included and which require separate payment or resident permission. Check the exact address, hours and accessible route. A membership near the office may be inconvenient for weekend sessions; judge it against the days and times you will attend.
Compare before commitment
Request the total for a realistic four-week period, coached minutes, taxes, dues, travel and cancellation charges. Ask for a small starting block if the coach and setting are unfamiliar. An unusually large price difference deserves an itemized explanation and another comparable quote. No current trainer price or membership is sold through this guide.
